US President sends condolences to families of Saudi students who drowned saving children in Massachusetts

JEDDAH: US President Donald Trump sent a cable of condolences to the families of Saudi students Theeb Al-Yami, 27, and Jaser Al-Rakah, 25, who drowned in the US state of Massachusetts while trying to rescue two American children from drowning.
“On behalf of the American people, the President expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the Saudi students, noting their humanitarian efforts and what they did to save two American children, adding their “noble actions will always be remembered.”
In the statement, Trump said: “Melania and I send our thoughts and prayers to you during this sorrowful time. May you find strength in their inspiring legacy of selfless sacrifice.”
