JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Meteorology and Environment Protection has published an electronic guide for Hajj pilgrims with advice on weather and environmental conditions.
The guide is available in three languages — Arabic, English, and Urdu — so that the information is able to reach the vast majority of pilgrims.
The guide is being published in conjunction with the inauguration of the media center at Mina Observatory by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has said that so far there have been no cases of epidemic or quarantine diseases among pilgrims.
The ministry said that it focuses its operations for pilgrims on preventive health measures, and follows up health developments globally in cooperation with World Health Organization (WHO) and international health bodies.
The ministry has revealed that the number of pilgrims arriving through health outlets and being provided with preventative services by the ministry has reached 480,794 since July 14.
