Hajj security forces oversee preparations for upcoming pilgrimage season

MINA: Hajj security forces held a meeting on Sunday at their headquarters in Mina to discuss operations and preparations for the coming up pilgrimage season, set to commence in August.
Commander of Hajj security forces, Major General Khaled Al-Harbi, headed the meeting which oversaw the various security tasks to be carried out in Makkah as well as other sacred pilgrimage sites.
The tasks are meant to secure worshippers’ safety and make their pilgrimage easier, he said.
Al-Harbi stressed the importance of his force’s concerted efforts to complete all field arrangements, increase readiness and preparations to execute the security plans at a level that is consistent with the directives of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and the Kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
During the meeting, he reviewed security, traffic, regulatory and support plans, which took into account the review of new developments and new plans along with the means of implementing them.
In addition to this, the examining of the technical regulations for verifying pilgrims who obtain Hajj permits at holy sites as well as documenting the identity of violators took place.
