Saudi Ministry of Labor, Economic Cities Authority discuss employment opportunities

JEDDAH: A delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development visited King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) to discuss cooperation between the Ministry and the Economic Cities Authority (ECA) in a bid to support employment opportunities in economic cities.
The delegation, headed by Assistant Director General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the Makkah region Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Ghamdi, toured King Abdullah Port and the Industrial Valley.
The Vice Secretary General of the Economic Cities' Authority (ECA) Imad Hashem praised the visit, which focussed on the importance of coordination and cooperation between the various sectors of the state so that government support for economic cities could continue.
He added that the ECA’s cooperation with the ministry will enable investors in economic cities to improve working environments across different sectors and create employment opportunities for Saudi Arabian youth.
After the tour, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between them in order to build an effective partnership and improve health and safety awareness amongst companies at the city.
They also discussed ways to make the ministry’s drive to nationalise jobs a success.
