Gold’s Gym Saudi Arabia’s new Abha Club in the Asir region, in the south of Saudi Arabia, is the latest to undergo a full installation of the state-of-the-art Matrix Fitness equipment.
It is owned by the Batterjee Holding Company.
Gold’s Gym, founded in 1965 by fitness legend Joe Gold, now serves more than 3 million members across 22 countries worldwide, and in Saudi Arabia it is fast becoming a pioneer in female fitness.
Daran Woodward, director of operations, said: “We were keen to evolve the fitness offering available to the Saudi population, and provide genuine, cutting-edge training solutions for the market. Matrix not only offers the premium equipment our members demand but, combined with world-class functional training solutions, their continuous support and flexibility have contributed hugely to the overall success of this project.”
Adam Edmunds, EMEA sales manager, said: “The combination of the latest Matrix technology and the state-of-the-art functional suite makes the Abha Club an international show site for Matrix Fitness and not only places the club at the forefront of the fitness industry in Saudi Arabia but as one of the most premium clubs in the Kingdom. It’s been a pleasure to work with Daran and I look forward to opening the next four premium clubs with him and Golds Gym in 2018.”
