Saudi interior minister visits Mauritius to boost ties

JEDDAH: The Saudi interior minister is on an official visit to Mauritius. Showkutally Soodhun, president of the country’s ruling party, received Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif. 

Saudi Non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Mauritius Gharm bin Saeed Al-Mulhan and a number of officials welcomed the interior minister at the airport.

Saudi Arabia and Mauritius enjoy cordial ties. Mauritius wishes to further consolidate relationships with major Gulf countries, especially with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a view to giving a boost to bilateral, Islamic and commercial partnership.

Mauritius is planning to build five smart cities and eyeing foreign investors particularly Saudi Arabia to make investments in new projects.  Mauritius is one of the major tourist attractions in the world with the best beaches and resorts.
