ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Armed Forces promoted 37 brigadiers to the rank of two-star general, or major general, the military media wing ISPR said on Thursday.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired a high ranking Promotion Board meeting at military headquarters and the board considered 987 officers for promotion.
Out of those potential candidates 37 were promoted to next rank.
Nine of those promoted to major general are from Army Medical Corps: Brigadiers Malik Muhammad Masud, Muhammad Salman Ashraf, Chaudhary Muhammad Qamar Ul Haq Noor, Syed Raza Jaffar, Khursheed Muhammad Uttra, Shehla Baqai, Wasim Alamgir, Muhammad Asad Qureshi and Rasikh Maqsood.
The rest are from different units.
