ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday condemned Saturday’s missile attack by Houthi militants in Yemen on the Saudi city of Jazan.
“Pakistan reiterates its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threats to its territorial integrity,” the Foreign Ministry said.
Three civilians were killed by the missile. Saudi-led coalition spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki accused the Houthis of deliberately targeting a civilian area.
Earlier this year, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said the “increasing frequency and ferocity” of Houthi missile attacks, “targeted at innocent civilians,” pose “a threat to regional peace and security.”
