An issue Arabic book lovers have faced — a lack of audiobooks and narrators — has essentially been solved by an app called Al-Rawi (The Narrator).
The app also operates as a website (alrawi.com), bringing books and users together. Readers and listeners can set reading goals while interacting with authors, narrators and others.
The app lists narrators and includes a dozen categories, from business, children’s stories, novels and poetry to self-help and entrepreneurship books.
Al-Rawi’s monthly subscription is $11, with a growing book collection that currently stands at 280.
