Yara Shahidi nabs Harper’s Bazaar Arabia cover

DUBAI: Iranian-American actress and social activist Yara Shahidi has just been unveiled as the cover star of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia’s June issue.
Shahidi, who hails from a highly accomplished family — one of her cousins is the rapper Nas, while another, Anousheh Ansari, was the first Iranian-American astronaut — talks openly about her heritage in the accompanying interview.

“Being multicultural, you can’t help but be interested and connected to the world around you,” she told the magazine. “My baba was born in Iran and I come from a beautiful matriarchy on both sides of my family, which I adore.”
The 18-year-old Harvard student wears a series of baby pink Chanel Haute Couture outfits in the captivating photographs.
