JEDDAH: Riyadh Airports has launched the first phase of the new duty-free store in the international terminals 1 and 2 at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh.
Riyadh Airports is the company that manages and operates the international airport in Riyadh. It also plans to launch a package of projects and services that will facilitate and enhance passengers’ experience.
The company also revealed that the second phase of the project would be completed in the middle of July 2018. According to a statement issued by the company, the new duty-free store includes a range of international brands that meet all passengers’ needs, offering a variety of options at competitive prices.
The Saudi authorities are making all-out efforts to improve services at all the international and domestic airports across the Kingdom.
According to official statistics, over 3.22 million passengers used Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport during the last four months.

A number of development projects, including installation of an advanced baggage handling system, have been completed at the airport. With the introduction of these projects and work on many more underway, the airport is poised to become one of the most important airports in the region.
The duty-free shop at this airport is also experiencing fast growth. Recently, more than 22 tops brands have been added to the list of duty-free items.
