JEDDAH: Jeddah’s waterfront has been transformed during Ramadan, with families and friends creating a festive atmosphere as they gather to break
their daily fast. A Saudi Press agency photographer captured happy images of Saudi families, residents as well as visitors, partaking in an open air iftar by the sea, enjoying the peace and quiet while the sun sets on
another day of the month of fasting.

For years, Jeddah corniche has welcomed visitors escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Many families take the opportunity to have their iftar on the waterfront, as it caters for all members of the
family including children, who benefit from the extensive playing areas on offer.

Jeddah’s waterfront is the latest development along the corniche, covering 730,000 square meters and capable of hosting more than 120,000 visitors. The waterfront has seven main squares, featuring green spaces.

The development also has dedicated swimming, exercise, sports, games, fishing and cycling areas.
