JEDDAH: France and Manchester United star Paul Pogba is back in Saudi Arabia to make a pilgrimage to Makkah during the holy month of Ramadan.
Pogba posted a video to Twitter commenting on the beauty of the holy city.
The 25-year-old Muslim told his followers that he hoped they would be able to visit “this beautiful place” as he shot video of the Holy Mosque and the Kaaba.
Pogba said: “Only the person that comes here would understand the feeling. So I hope the people that have never have been here yet will do one day.
“Beautiful place. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And the feeling, I cannot even explain to you,” he added.
Many people reacted positively to his post on social media because, despite his fame and wealth, he remains aware of his religious duties as a Muslim.
The United star has a week off before linking up with the France squad looking to triumph at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, which kicks off June 14.
Pogba made a similar trip last year, when he journeyed to Makkah just days after United had won the Europa League by beating Ajax in the final.
