ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi left for Turkey on Friday to attend a special summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the recent killings of Palestinian civilians in Gaza by Israeli forces, reported Radio Pakistan.
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim invited Abbasi to participate in the summit in Istanbul.
Solidarity Day was observed across Pakistan on Friday in support of the Palestinian people, with rallies and gatherings organized. Abbasi said Pakistan will continue to support the Palestinians in every forum.
The news and current affairs channel of Radio Pakistan arranged a special marathon transmission to highlight abuses against the Palestinian people and the recent killings in Gaza.
