Following the success of Changan cars in the Saudi market, Almajdouie Motors Company, the authorized distributor for the manufacturer in Saudi Arabia, has launched the brand’s largest SUV — the CS95.
At the launch, attended by Changan Automobile senior executives, Mohammed bin Ali Almajdouie, the managing director of Almajdouie Motors — Changan, said: “Changan brand is always evolving and offers sophisticated cars at reasonable prices, without compromising on the quality.
“The all-new CS95 represents a new era, which will spread enthusiasm among our clients and make them truly distinctive.”
He added: “Last year, Changan introduced the ideal crossover model, the CS95, and this year, Changan offers the all-new SUV CS95, which will change the concept of the family SUV category. The all-new CS95 is the most powerful model in its category. We trust that the new generation of CS95, which we are unveiling today, will meet the requirements of the Saudi consumer. The CS95 is a highly developed medium-size SUV car, and offers the highest levels of interior and exterior design, maximum comfort, safety and advanced technologies, along with various driving systems.”
The CS95 reflects the advanced dynamics and modern spirit of adventure, says the maker. The car features stylish design and muscular exterior, according to Changan, adding that it is the only car in the family-SUV category that combines powerful performance, modern design, and a competitive price even compared with a lot of European models.
The price in the Saudi market starts from SR82,900 ($22,105).
Before launching the model, the company conducted a intensive test-drive campaign last summer in GCC countries to check the performance of the car under extreme climatic conditions, as in some areas the temperature exceeds 50 degrees Celsius.
The Changan CS95 is equipped with a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, produces 233 HP and has a six-speed gearbox.
With the CS95, Changan aims to offer a combination of fuel economy and dynamic performance for everyday use.
The car is equipped with six airbags — two front, two sides and two rear.
