Houthi militants retreat after further losses in western Yemen

DUBAI: The Yemeni army has claimed further victories following fierce battles against the Houthi militia, this time in the Marib province, Saudi Arabian state news agency SPA reported on Sunday.

A Yemeni military source said its forces had fought back members of the Iran-back Houthi militia stationed in the area of the town of Marib which also has a local airport.

The report added that the Houthis suffered a number of casualties, while those able to fled, leaving their dead and various pieces of equipment behind.
