Pakistan condemns twin suicide attacks in Kabul

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned twin suicide attacks in Kabul on Monday that claimed the lives of 25 people and injured 45.
Daesh claimed responsibility of the coordinated double bombing, in which nine journalists and five policemen lost their lives.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “We are distressed and grieved at the loss of precious human lives. We express our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and pray to Almighty Allah for early recovery of the injured.”
It added that the government and people of Pakistan expressed solidarity with “their Afghan brethren in this hour of grief,” adding: “We are confident that the resolve of the brave Afghan people to defeat terrorism cannot be weakened by such cowardly attacks.”
The Foreign Office also reiterated its condemnation of terrorism in all forms, resolving to fight it until the menace was completely eliminated.
