DUBAI: Yemen’s army killed three leaders of the Iran-backed Houthi militia on Saturday on the frontier of Al-Bayda district in central Yemen, Saudi state-news agency SPA reported.
“The three leaders were killed in violent clashes between the Yemeni army and the Popular Resistance on the one hand and the militia on the other hand,” a Yemeni field source said in a statement issued on the defense ministry’s official website “September 26”.
The military front has witnessed continuous battles since last month in which the army was able to take control of large areas and reach the outskirts of the Wahbiya Directorate in Al-Bayda.
