London: Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection stated on Saturday that thunderstorms accompanied by medium-to-heavy rainfall will precede dust storms in the regions of Riyadh, Al-Qassim, the Northern Borders, Tabuk, Al-Jawf, Ha’il, Jazan, Asir, Al-Bahah, Makkah and Medinah.
According to the Authority’s report, the surface winds on the Red Sea are northwesterly to westerly over the northern and central parts, and south to southeasterly over the southern parts.
The wind will travel about 16-38kmph and the wave height will vary between one and two meters.
