EGYPT: A horrific internet video showing a helpless horse being beaten while tied to a metal pole has sparked fury in Lebanon.
The incident, believed to have taken place in Beb El Tebbeneh, Tripoli, shows a horse tied to a metal pole while two men are seen attacking it.
Lebanese news websites reported that the footage, which has since gone viral among social media users, has helped animal rescue groups to identify the location of the stable.
Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces said on Twitter that the horse had been rescued and transferred to an animal caring association.
They also said the video of the incident was “transferred to an association to take care of it,” adding that investigations would be arresting the perpetrators.
