LONDON: The Directorate of Civil Defense in Najran warned that changeable weather and high winds will result in poor visibility due to rising dust.
Najran’s Civil Defense also called on people to be careful, especially those traveling by land and using highways. It also advised citizens to avoid stopping near billboards and street lights.
Meanwhile, the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection said in a report Saturday that stormy rain clouds will precede strong winds that will limit horizontal visibility in the areas of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Al-Qassim, Ha’il, Riyadh, the Eastern Province and Najran.
All schools and universities in the Asir governorates of Bisha, Tathlith, and Bilqarn have been given a holiday on Sunday due to the continuing sandstorm in the Asir region.
In Makkah, the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection said that rain is likely to fall Saturday accompanied by hail.
