Pakistan naval chief meets Western fleet commander in Jeddah

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, who is currently visiting Saudi Arabia, met with Western Fleet Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Hamed Bakheet Al-Johani, in Jeddah on Saturday.
The two officers discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral naval collaboration. Al-Johani acknowledged the significance of close and strong bilateral naval association between the Pakistan and Royal Saudi naval forces.
Admiral Abbasi visited the Command and Control Center of Western Fleet Command, Royal Saudi Naval Schools and Aviation Setup, according to an official handout. He was also given a detailed briefing about the facility on the occasion.
The naval chief also visited RSNF Ship HMS Makkah and was briefed by the commanding officer of the ship.
It is expected that the recent visit of the Naval Chief will enhance and expand collaboration between the two countries in general and their naval forces in particular.
