DUBAI: Liam Payne, former member of wildly successful warblers One Direction, will perform a free concert at Dubai’s Global Village on March 30, as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for Virgin Radio DXB. Since the band split (sorry 1D fans — “went on hiatus”) in 2015, its members have enjoyed varying degrees of success, but Payne has not seemed to struggle with his solo career. 2017 was a particularly good year for the English star, he collaborated with Rita Ora on the soundtrack for “Fifty Shades Freed,” and his single, “Strip That Down” has racked up around a quarter-billion streams on YouTube.
