CAIRO: A passenger attempted to storm the cockpit of EgyptAir flight MS931 from Oman’s capital Muscat to Cairo on Tuesday, a source at the national carrier was quoted as saying.
The passenger reportedly tried to break into the cabin of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft and assaulted crew members, a source quoted by Egyptian El-Wattan newspaper said.
The plane returned back to Muscat International Airport with 78 passengers on board due to the passenger’s behavior.
He was then submitted to airport authorities who launched an investigation into the incident, the source said.
