Foreign Minister leaves for official visit to Russia

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif left on a four-day official visit to Russia on Monday at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
According to an official handout, the foreign minister is scheduled to discuss affairs in Saudi Arabia and deliberate upon prospects for increased bilateral relations.
The two countries, also celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year, will explore new ways to strengthen cooperation between Islamabad and Moscow in the fields of trade and investment, defense, education, political ties and economic collaboration.
