Toyota recently recorded 11 wins in the American 2018 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awards, the most notable of which was the win by the new 2018 Toyota Camry of the Top Safety Pick Award, now named the safest car of the season by the IIHS.
Munir Khoja, director of marketing communications at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia, expressed his pride and happiness at Toyota winning the prestigious IIHS awards, saying: “This latest achievement confirms Toyota’s aspirations to consistently upgrade its adopted standards, in addition to its commitment to fulfil all the various safety and security requirements and meet the needs of its fans. This is further confirmed since the IIHS raised the maximum requirements needed for awarding the safety ratings for 2018.”
In addition, the new generation 2018 Toyota Camry recently recorded the highest safety standards after acquiring a five-star rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
The Australian crash testing authority confirmed that the car’s five-star rating includes all the new model’s categories, including the four-cylinder, the V6 and the hybrid. The program declared that the 2018 Toyota Camry possesses specifications that make it the safest car of the season, partly due to its one-of-a-kind front headlights.
James Goodwin, ANCAP CEO, emphasized the highest degree of safety and welcomed the positive results achieved by the 2018 Toyota Camry, noting that it is not surprising given the car’s long-standing position as the leader of the mid-spec vehicle market.
Khoja said: “The Toyota Camry is still one of the most popular cars in the world, whether among all members of the family, youth or fleet operators, due to its provision of the finest quality, reliability and trustworthiness. This is in addition to the highest safety standards as confirmed by the testimonies of a number of safety and security entities, including ANCAP, which continues a successful journey that dates back to the launch of the first generation Camry in global markets three decades ago.”
