DUBAI: The Yemeni army took control of a number of mountain ranges and areas of high ground to the east of Sanaa, and west of the town of Al-Hul, Saudi state-run news agency SPA reported Sunday.
A military source told the armed forces’ official website “September 26” that the army had intensified its bombardment of Houthi terrorist positions located on the outskirts of the Massoura region, which resulted in the destruction of a Houthi vehicle.
The source pointed out that the two days of fighting comes amid a major advance of the Yemeni army toward the Massoura region and defeats witnessed by the Iran-backed Houthis, which led to their retreat to Sanaa.
