King of Jordan arrives in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: King of Jordan Abdullah II has arrived in Islamabad, on Thursday, on two day official visit to Pakistan.
He is visiting Islamabad on the invitation of President Mamnoon Hussain, who welcomed the King at airport.
King Abdullah II is leading a high-level delegation, including senior officials and during his stay in Pakistani capital the King of Jordan will hold talks with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
“Bilateral, regional and international matters of mutual interest will be discussed,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in statement
A key Pakistani lawmaker and Chairperson Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Senator Nuzhat Sadiq told Arab News that the visit of King Abdullah II is an important development for bilateral ties.
“It shows the Jordon values its relations with Pakistan,” she added that Pakistan’s investment friendly policies “will also help to attract an investment from Jordan, this important visit can play significant role for enhancing bilateral economic ties.”
