Dawn report by Asim Khan states that Additional Inspector General of Counter Terrorism Department, Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi, declared Naqibullah as innocent, contrary to the stance assumed by police team led by former Senior Superintendent of Police Malir, Rao Anwar. Abbasi assured the Naqibullah’s bereaved family that everyone involved in Naqibullah’s extrajudicial killing would be brought to task.
