DUBAI: Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid took Paris Men’s Fashion Week by storm as she walked the streets in a variety of fashion-forward outfits and rubbed shoulders with Hollywood stars such as Josh Harnett and Robert Pattinson.
The model joined Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, sporting a chic new beard, and Hollywood star Robert Pattinson on the front row at the Dior Homme show on Saturday and promptly made headlines with her razor-sharp black suit and peek-a-boo lingerie.
The brunette powerhouse, 21, who was in Paris as the face of Dior Beauty, wore a pair of the label’s new squidgy trainers, Dior Homme Runners, which The Guardian newspaper lauded as part of the high-end brand’s attempt to woo the millennial market.
However, the popular model, who is regularly seen with the likes of Kardashian family member Kendall Jenner, did make a rare fashion faux pas, according to some international media outlets.
At the Heron Preston’s winter 2018/19 show, she wore a mesh bodysuit and oversized 1980s power suit with a pair of white sneakers and long-length socks in what turned out to be a rather odd mix-and-match outfit.
Hadid shared her approval of the Dior show, with designer Kris Van Assche at the helm, with her 16 million Instagram followers, saying “seriously stunned to see your work move in real life, Kris. Thank you for having me. Big, big honor.”
Paris Men’s Fashion Week wrapped up on Sunday and followed an intense flurry of men’s fashion weeks across the globe, from London to Milan. Next up on the fashion agenda is New York Men’s Fashion Week, which is slated to begin in early February.
