Indian-administered Kashmir chief minister appeals India, Pakistan to deescalate border tensions (Source: The Economic Times)

The Economic Times report by PTI from Reasi states that Indian-administered Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbuba Mufti recently reminded Pakistan of the commitment made by its former President Pervez Musharraf with former Indian Premier Atal Bihari Vajpayee to maintain peace at borders. Mufti called on both India and Pakistan to engage in reconciliation and deescalate tensions at the borders as their animosity was costing lives of the Kashmiri people living on both sides of the border.
