Riyadh prepares to host biggest global gathering of entrepreneurs and businessmen

The Saudi capital prepares to host the biggest gathering for national and international entrepreneurs through “The Saudi International Exhibition for Franchise” at the Riyadh International Conventions and Exhibitions Center, Feb. 5-7, 2018.
The exhibition coincides with the decision of King Salman to inject SR72 billion ($19.2 billion) into the private sector of the economy in a bid to stimulate activity in the non-oil sector. Based on this, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has approved the launch of 13 various initiatives which aim to increase the economic capabilities of the community.
The invitations were sent to many different countries around the globe to participate in this exhibition, which is considered one of the initiatives of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, to work with leading international and national organizations in commercial sector.
The chairman of the organizing committee of the exhibition Haya Al-Sunaidi said: “The exhibition is a platform for commercial franchise holders who want to grow their businesses and it creates an environment that fosters the pioneering spirit of Saudis and it provides the participants with the opportunity for interaction and cooperation with the private investors from various countries who are looking for successful commercial and industrial investment opportunities. It also allows aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to communicate with exhibiting companies and at the same time displays a wide variety of products, services, and franchise concepts.”
The manager of the exhibition, Ahmad Al-Refa’e emphasized: “The exhibition covers the fastest growing international business franchises and business opportunities in all sectors and at the various levels of investment. It also showcases educational programs and seminars for newcomers to the concept of franchise, covering topics such as franchise laws, property ownership, and others.”
Al-Refae’e also pointed out that the franchise system gives the right to exploit the trademarks of individuals and companies in exchange for a percentage of the profits or revenues that will go to the owner of the brand. Also, this system gives advantages to the projects by reliance on a well-known brand in marketing and promotion.
