BEIRUT: Syrian pop star Nassif Zeytoun will receive YouTube’s Gold Creator Award in January, after his channel on the popular vide-sharing website hit one million subscribers on Sunday, Sayidaty magazine reported.
Zeytoun will be receiving the famous YouTube gold-plated play button, which is presented to channels that surpass one million subscribers. He thanked his followers in a post on Instagram.
The Syrian singer is the second Arab celebrity to receive this award, preceded by Lebanese pop star Elissa.
On Dec. 29, Zeytoun will perform a concert at Platea in Lebanon with Lebanese singer Hicham Haddad, and will be celebrating the new year in the Festival Arena by InterContinental in Dubai, alongside the two Arab singers, Mohamed Hamaki and Nancy Ajram.
