RIYADH/JEDDAH: “Game of Thrones” star Jason Momoa said he had gained at least 5 kilos in Saudi Arabia, thanks to the Kingdom’s hospitality and delicious food.
“The food in Saudi Arabia is good. I missed Thanksgiving at home, so this was a true substitute,” he told Arab News, which had a quick chat with Momoa during a break between his autograph and photoshoot session with fans at the Comic Con in Riyadh.
Mada Abdelhamid, WWE star and Momoa’s trainer, posted a photo of himself and Momoa on Instagram, posing in front of a huge plate of traditional Saudi delicacies kabsa and mansaf.
“The before and after. Now this is what I call a FEAST!!!!! Eating like kings over here in Saudi Arabia. We literally couldn’t move afterwards ... but we couldn’t stop eating either. Very fitting that we were over here during Thanksgiving. Our stomachs felt right at home #FeastForABeast,” Abdelhamid wrote.

Momoa, meanwhile, posted photos of a restaurant in Riyadh, Najd Village, showing the venue’s traditional Saudi village-like ambiance.
“Mahalo Saudi Arabia you treated me like royalty Aloha to the fans and new friends. I had so many amazing experiences. I’ll be back very soon. Mahalo omar for fattening me up, the food here is amazing @najdvillagesa aloha j,” he wrote, using the Hawaiian words for thanks (mahalo) and love (aloha)

Momoa earlier visited Al-Thumamah National Park. He said he wished his loved ones were here with him, adding: “I’ll probably visit again with my family.”
In a reply to an Arab News query about what drives him to accomplish so much in acting, producing and modeling, Jason replied: “It’s passion, I have got a lot of passion in me toward my work and that is what keeps me giving and trying.”
Accompanying Jason was Baraa Abdulla, the official Comic Con master of ceremonies and a news anchor at Bahrain TV.
