In a move that will enhance the expansion of communication and information technology services in Saudi Arabia, Zain Saudi Arabia signed a cooperation agreement with Careem, A leading company in car-booking services in the region.
The agreement will contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020.
Zain KSA has come up with an innovative idea that will further improve Careem’s operational efficiency. By providing two standard numbers for the driver and passenger, the two partners intend to protect and preserve the privacy of both individuals.
The agreement was signed by Zain Saudi Arabia CEO Peter Kaliaropoulos and Careem CEO Abdullah Al-Yas.
Commenting on the deal, Zain Saudi Arabia CEO said: “Our mission is to work diligently to support the Vision 2030 by building knowledge based on diversification of the economy, and by actively contributing to achieving that goal. We, at Zain Saudi Arabia, are pleased to sign such agreements that are in line with our strategy to develop digital solutions and innovations, and support digital enterprises in the Saudi market.”
Careem is also one of the leading companies in mobile car-booking services in the Saudi market. That, in turn, provides the young and ambitious Saudis with thousands of job opportunities. Therefore, this agreement is expected to create more employment opportunities for Saudis.
