DUBAI: Car fans in Dubai are in for a treat with the opening of the Dubai International Motor Show on Tuesday.
The event, which is set to run until Nov. 18, features a jaw-dropping collection of supercars, motorbikes and automotive manufacturers from around the world.
The family-friendly show, located at Dubai’s World Trade Center, offers myriad activities, including test cars, competitions, a car show for automotive lovers, live music and food.
According to event organizers, there are more than 550 cars and bikes on show at the event, including more than 15 supercar brands and 10 concept cars.
From the “Boulevard of Dreams,” showcasing iconic supercars, to a specially-dedicated vintage cars area, the event is perfect for motor heads.
The Boulevard of Dreams presents visitors with the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the fastest and most glamorous cars in the world, including the world’s first handmade Titanium supercar — the Vulcano Titanium — made by Italian manufacturer ICONA.
Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren are also showing off their latest models, while UAE-based Devel, Shaali and Rimac will show visitors how the country is making waves in the supercar industry.
On Nov. 17, about 20 classic cars, some of which will be present at the show, will go under the hammer in a fast-paced online auction organized by Copart, a global leader in online auto auctions.
The show is also hosting he heavy weights of the tuning and customization industry, the GForce Performance team. They will be showcasing a live display of on-site body, engine and paint customization throughout the event.
The show expects to receive more than 108,000 visitors over its five days.
The standard single-day pass for an adult is priced at AED 65 ($17) and eager attendees can book online.
