Fifteen students from the Pakistan International School Jeddah — English Section (PISJ-ES) have received awards from Cambridge International Exam, which acknowledges their outstanding performance in the June 2017 Cambridge exam series.
PISJ-ES said it holds the leading position in the Kingdom’s western region with 15 awards in different subjects and categories, including “Top in World,” “Top in Country,” and “Top in the Region.”
Principal Adnan Nasir said: “The school’s outstanding results are a manifestation of the teachers’ commitment, students’ passion for learning, determination and the continuous support provided by their families.”
He added: “With achievements come responsibilities. Therefore, while celebrating this success, students should adapt values of honesty, respect and tolerance, which are essential to become responsible citizens of our country, Pakistan. The school’s glorious success is a matter of great pride and honor for the entire community and our country.”
Saim Omer won in the “Top in World” category in AS-Mathematics.
Winners in the “Top in Country” category include: Haider Ali Chaudhry in Applied Information & Communication Technology, Wafa Asher in A-Level Economics, Ahmed Salman in AS Accounting and Economics, Shifa Asher in AS Economics, Muhammad Hamza in IGCSE Islamiyat and Arfa in IGCSE Pakistan Studies.
Ayesha Siddiqui and Fahad Fahim Hassan acquired “Top in Region” ranking in AS Information Technology, whereas under the same category, Wania Afroz stood out with distinction in IGCSE English as Second Language and Information & Computer Technology.
In the “Best Across 3A & As Level” category, Saim Omer achieved the third place, whereas in the “Best Across 4As & A-Level” category, Maleeha Masood secured second place and Ahmed Salman bagged first place in the western region.
“With 15 Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards, PISJ-ES not only leads in academic excellence in the region but has maintained a glorious academic record. Our students’ achievements have improved and they aspire to wok for the progress of our country, Pakistan,” added Nasir.
