DUBAI: It is quite common to take photos of your work if it involves travel, we all do it. But Russian astronaut Sergey Ryazanskiy has taken this to a whole new level sharing photos that are quite literally out of this world on his Instagram account.
His collection of photos taken from space includes an image of Makkah at night. He captioned the stunning image: “The holiest place in the Islamic world. #Makkah is beautiful both day and night. Impossible to confuse it with any other city in the world even from space.”

And he has managed to capture images from a number of other Arab locations too.

Ryazanskiy has also previously photographed an image of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, which received words of thanks from several people.
The comments included one from husain90000 who wrote: “We are Iraqis thank you for this picture already Baghdad City of Peace City of love and camel Hope you success.”

And while gliding through space one day he of course managed to get a photo of Egypt’s Pyramids of Giza, which he captioned: “The Pyramids of Giza are the greatest architectural monuments of Ancient Egypt.”

He even caught this one of Dubai’s man made Palm Jumeirah Island in all its glory.

And while passing Tunisia he captured a dust storm, which while choking if experienced at ground level, looks quite beautiful in this image.

And from Yemen he photographed this quite extraordinary view which shows how beautiful the country actually is.
