Jollibee excels in Titan Watch-JBL tourney

JEDDAH: Jollibee of Coach Ricky Abdulaziz Yu beat Wasalak 111-99 in the Titan Watch-JBL 40 and Above Division Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Nazeeh and Wartah Park court in Khalidia district here.
Jollibee played outstanding offense the whole game. Wasalak apparently had an off night, finding it hard to make baskets. Callueng scored 32 points for Jollibee and was adjudged as the Titan Watch best player of the game while Bautista made 35 points at the helm of Wasalak.
This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Husssaini). Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah) and KGT Kabayan Gents Tailoring are co-sponsors.
Jeddah Blazers defeated KGT 98-87. Jeddah Blazers’ outside snipping was unstoppable as KGT’s defense collapsed in the final quarter. Gandaruza chipped in 32 points for Jeddah Blazers and was named Giordano best player of the game while Domingo collected 21 points for KGT.
Laon-Alab Yellow scored its 4th win, beating Sidlak White 101-80 in the JBL Teens Parents Division.
Sidlak White fell short in the final quarter on both ends of the court. In contrast, Laon-Alab Yellow found the open man each time on offense.
Bernard Carino scored 27 points for Laon-Alab Yellow while claiming the JBL best player of the game. Roland Lacson top-scored with 27 points for Sidlak White.
Siglahi Blue defeated Danglahi Green 93-83. The two sides fought a ding-dong battle, but Siglahi Blue got going offensively while Danglahi Green committed crucial errors in the fourth quarter. Jose led Siglahi Blue with 37 points to become the Titan Watch best player of the game. Mike Joson led Danglahi Green with 25 points.
JBL Teens Mosquito White beat Mosquito Blue 46-32. White’s Olivom, with 26 points, was awarded best player of the game. Escueta had 24 points for Blue.
Elsewhere, Black defeated Gray 45-31 with Divina Gracia hitting 21 points as the best player of the game. Rakan Dimaro showed the way at Gray with 23 points.
