Nike and Al-Hilal FC unveil home kit for 2017-18 season

The home shirt features diagonal gradient shades of blue with a darker composition on the frontal sides.

Nike and Al-Hilal FC have unveiled the 2017-18 home kit. The new kit unites the club’s unique character with Nike Dri-Fit technology.
Prince Nawaf bin Saad Al-Saud, chairman, Al-Hilal FC, said: “My best wishes for both Al-Hilal and Nike in achieving success together through our continued partnership.”
The home kit features a fresh design for the Jameel League champions as they are set to start the season and defend their title.
A key element in the design of the kit is the inclusion of various shades of blue in a way that represents the club’s collective culture.
The home shirt features diagonal gradient shades of blue with a darker composition on the frontal sides. A modern crewneck collar incorporates a blue strip that goes around the neck.
The sleeves and shoulders are a contrasting white to emphasize the power of the shoulders.
The sides of the jersey have a white stripe that runs to the mid of the shirt.
The shorts come in white with a blue stripe on the sides and feature the club crest on the right hand front corner, and the player’s number and Nike swoosh on the left side.
The socks come in matching blue.
Footballer Salman Al-Faraj said: “The new Al-Hilal kit gives me a strong feeling of pride and optimism. The team felt lighter, faster and more confident when they tried it for the first time. I can’t wait to start playing and winning matches together with the whole team.”
The Saudi champions will debut the new 2017-18 home kit on-pitch on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Nike has collaborated with a local graffiti artist, Rashid Mohammed Al-Motaeeb, to celebrate the legacy and heritage of Al-Hilal FC and its fans.
Al-Motaeeb created an art piece featuring a shark representing the fierceness and speed of Al-Hilal, swimming through a blue ocean and huge waves that represent the unlimited passion of its supporters.
“When Nike got in touch with me to work on a special art piece to celebrate Al-Hilal, I couldn’t be happier as this brings together the two things I am most passionate about in life, Al-Hilal and art,” the artist said.
