Hospitality company HB Brands, led by founder and chairman Hamdan Al-Bader, is bringing America’s favorite chicken wing brand, Wingstop, to Saudi Arabia. The first outlet opened in Riyadh on July 3 and offers a vibrant and fun place to hang out with friends and family. It is part of a franchise agreement to open 100 stores in the Middle East.
“Each item on the menu is made to order and comes with hand-cut fries made fresh from potatoes sourced in Saudi Arabia. Staying true to its Texan heritage, Wingstop’s wings are available in 11 unique flavours to suit all tastes, and the franchise also serves a wide range of drinks and mocktails to complement its combos and dishes,” a press release said.
HB Brands COO Martin Venter said: “After spotting a gap in the market, we knew Wingstop would ‘fly’ in the Middle East. All our recipes are original — from Cajun and Classic to Mango Habanero and Hickory Smoked Barbeque, we’ve stayed true to the delicious flavors that make Wingstop’s chicken wings so irresistible.
“There’s simply nothing like Wingstop in KSA.”
The company said Wingstop’s menu is well-priced making it an affordable, family-friendly fast food outlet in the Kingdom. The restaurant is currently running a contest called Atomic Challenge, where a customer’s meal would be paid for if he/she eats 20 wings in under six minutes.
