DUBAI: An anti-immigration group in Norway has been ridiculed after mistaking a photograph of bus seats for burqa-wearing Muslim women.
The image was shared to Facebook group Fedrelandet viktigst, which translates to mean Fatherland first, and was flooded with angry comments by its members.
Members of the group commented that the scene was “scary,” “frightening” and “tragic.”
One wrote: “It looks really scary, should be banned. You can never know who is under there. Could be terrorists with weapons.”

The man who posted the image — captioned “What do people think of this?” — said it was just “a little practical joke.”
Speaking to WorldViews, Johan Slattavik said the photograph and comments gave him a “good laugh.”
“I laid out the photo to see what happened,” he said.
Earlier this year, Norway’s right-wing government proposed a so-called burqa ban.
