JEDDAH: Seventeen male and female plastic artists are competing at the Makkah Festival for Entertainment and Awareness for the best depiction of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
Rose Nouran, a member of the Plastic Arts Association at the Culture and Arts Society, said works presented can be “all kinds of plastic art including charcoal, collage, digital and other forms.”
She added: “There is no limit to the size of the paintings, and when painters draw faces they should not ‘reprint,’ as in reproducing a photograph.” She said that drawings must convey feelings and expressions.
Festival Director Saleh Al-Otaibi said the plastic-art corner at Al-Husainiya Park attracts many visitors.
