Qatari ambassador given 48 hours to leave Egypt

JEDDAH: Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ahmed Abu Zeid, said Monday that Qatar’s Ambassador to Egypt has been summoned to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, where he was informed of the decision to sever diplomatic relations with Qatar.
Saif Moqadam Al-Boenain was handed an official memorandum to end his accreditation as an ambassador to Egypt, according to the Middle East News Agency.
