Samsung Electronics recently held a competition for visitors at the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah for three consecutive days.
Participants got a chance to take pictures with Samsung’s astronauts on the occasion of the launch of the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. They also got acquainted with the phones’ features.
The winner of the competition received a prize and was chosen based on the best picture taken at the event.
Ismail Yoon, general manager, Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia, announced Mohammed Attieh Abdulsalam as the winner of the competition. He received the new Galaxy S8 for his photo that was judged as the most creative picture taken with the astronauts at the event.
Yoon expressed his gratitude to all participants. “This shows nothing less than Samsung’s visionary approach that resides in offering the best global practices and technologies that enrich our customers’ lifestyle in the near future,” he said.
The event was in line with Samsung’s constant efforts to offer the best innovative technology in the Kingdom.
The astronauts were a representation of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+’s campaign selling line “Unbox Yourself.”
The Galaxy S8 features an infinity display edge-to-edge screen of 5.8-inch while the Galaxy S8+ features a 6.2-inch display screen. Its evolved front and back camera is characterized by a smart autofocus system and an F1.7 lens with a wide aperture using the dual pixel sensor technology that produces crystal clear pictures even under low and high lighting conditions. The camera also features latest digital zooming and image correction options. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ offer a 10-nanometer processor that caters to the phone’s speed and highly efficient performance, not to mention the best safety and security system in the market, called Knox. The smartphone’s batteries have been revamped to last longer and are certified under the highest global standards of safety and security.
