JEDDAH: “Fast and Furious” because you want to break your fast with your family but you are stuck in traffic? Actor Vin Diesel sends you a warm video message on Ramadan.
In the video, Diesel wished his Muslim fans around the globe a blessed Ramadan, Muslim’s holy month of fasting.
The “Fast and Furious” actor appeared in an Instagram video shared by hip hop artist Karim Kharbouch, better known by his stage name French Montana.
“We are doing another creative session, it’s right before a very important holiday, Ramadan. I’m proud that my brother (French Montana) here will be doing Ramadan,” said Diesel.
“I might be influenced,” he added laughing.
French Montana said that he is trying to convince his “brother” to join him in this spiritual journey and wished Muslims a blessed Ramadan. “Yeah, I’m trying to get my brother to do Ramadan with me, man. Ramadan Mubarak.”
Diesel added that the concept of Ramadan inspires him and sees it as a must for anyone who wishes to discipline themselves.
“The concept of it (Ramadan) is so powerful and probably be good for anybody, anybody in life to be able to experience that kind of discipline for that long,” the star said. “It could be really recharging and re-healing.” Muslims across the globe fast from dawn to dusk for 30 days, where they have a special connection with God.
Many Muslims see it an opportunity to discipline their souls during this holy month, where they not only abstain from eating, drinking and having sex, but also avoiding sins.
