Chalhoub and Jamjoom Group, which specializes in luxury in the Middle East, recently held its 9th annual meeting in Assilah Hotel, Jeddah, attended by the representatives and top management of the group’s 11 companies.
The annual meeting highlighted the group’s plans in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. Additionally, it was an opportunity for showcasing the group’s achievements on a local and regional level for the year 2016, which include solid marketing strategies, new branch openings and business expansions, as well as successfully meeting the feminization and nationalization labor regulations of its workforce.
Patrick Chalhoub, Chalhoub and Jamjoom Group CEO and owner, praised the efforts of the group’s employees.
He said the group’s values of respect, entrepreneurial spirit and excellence in service are the factors allowing the company to enjoy its leading position in the market.
Khaled Al-Saggaf, head of human resources, said: “Part of the group’s success is in framing out solid work strategies compliant with the Kingdom’s labor rules and regulations. The group’s success is attributed to the feminization of all retail posts in exhibitions specialized in women’s luxury products.”
He stressed on the importance of recruiting Saudis as an importance factor in hiring. “The group offers job opportunities to Saudis on both technical and administrative levels. This includes the launch of the Saudi Graduates Program, which was successful in attracting talented Saudi graduates from prestigious local and global universities and integrating them into the group’s different departments offering them first-hand work experience.”
He said the company supports its employees in fulfilling their career development aspirations by providing them training opportunities.
“Chalhoub & Jamjoom Group will continue to plan and operate on strategies that contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 effectively and efficiently,” Al-Saggaf said.
The annual meeting included the graduation ceremony of the group’s training academy, which is an important training center in the region specialized in retailing business.
