JEDDAH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development will increase the number of family counseling centers and social protection units to 200 in the next three years, to lower divorce rates and family disputes.
The ministry is also working to increase the number of qualified employees in family counseling and social protection to 21,000, and to develop specialized human resources and relevant services according to international standards. The ministry has unveiled standards to be followed, and carried out a study of mechanisms to maximize effectiveness and professionalism, and to link the centers together to provide services in the public and private sectors.
