JEDDAH: A cooperation agreement has been signed between Sayidaty and Arrajol magazines and Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (SMEA).
The agreement is aimed at supporting young people and strengthening the role of women in society, as well as exchanging expertise and skills. The greater goal is to encourage youths to take on the experience of being entrepreneurs, which would increase job opportunities in the country and national revenues as a result.
Mohammed Al-Harthi, editor in chief of the two Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG) magazines, signed the agreement in Jeddah with Sofana Dahlan, vice governor of entrepreneurship advancement at SMEA.
“It’s a good start. Sayidaty is our first media partner,” said Dahlan, calling on female entrepreneurs to work on reaching global markets.
Afnan Al-Babtain, director of the women’s entrepreneurship division at SMEA, said the partnership shows the authority’s concern for spreading awareness regarding female entrepreneurship through the media.
