JEDDAH: The Health Ministry reported Wednesday that 27 students suffered food poisoning at a boys’ middle schools in Arar after eating a meal at the school’s cafeteria.
The students were transferred to area hospitals.
The ministry said in a press statement that the operations room in the emergency and crisis management received an urgent call at 12:30 p.m. of about 27 cases of food poisoning at one of the boys’ schools in Arar.
The victims have been reported in stable condition and had been discharged from the hospitals, the ministry said.
The students ate meals from one of the Arar bakeries, which provide meals to the school’s cafeteria during school hours.
